dynamic content
-
Hi,
Can I directly add dynamic content from the blocks?
For example, add a dynamic background.

My approach for this kind of feature is this Meta Field block .
I released it for a while. It’s free. Could you please check it out? I’m not sure it is what you looking for.Phi.
I was referring, for example: to the advanced group, allowing background media to choose the image dynamically.
It is something necessary: kadence, generateblock, spectra, etc. they implement it.
Ah, I got your point now. There is no feature like that in the current version. I plan to implement it in the upcoming version but it is only a setting ‘Use the featured image as background’. There is no other dynamic content. I want to keep this plugin small and only do the layout work.
Thank you very much for your feedback. Ah, if you find it useful please give it a rating. I saw you already did in the SVG Block. Thank you again. Please keep reporting issues, or give suggestions to make it more useful.
Thanks, Phi.Excellent, that you have planned to implement it.
Currently, I am supplying this with the container block of generateblock, which in its free version has it.
Hi @jlop77,
I’ve included this featured image feature in the latest version.
I also recorded some video guides for some real-world use cases: The post title bar with parallax background , Banner slider using Query Loop blockPhi.
In my opinion, dynamic contents are completely a separate thing. We create custom post types, and can easily create templates for each post type archive and single pages in new WordPress block editor (Appearnace => Editor). There we can specify any custom field created at any place, we can even create a separate new blocks for using lazy blocks like easy to use plugins.
If you want to allow something dynamic as settings for your predefined blocks (like advanced group) then its a different case, otherwise for any dynamic fields there are many plugins already available to show them like ACF, Pods etc.
I agree with @hozefasmile about populating dynamic content, but setting the featured image as the background image of a custom block is a good feature. You can see some real-world use cases for that feature in the video tutorials.
