Dynamic Contact Form

  • I have been charged with the job of moving an existing HTML site to a WordPress blog.

There are more than 200 email addresses on the site and these are coded with mailto links with the email address appearing as a link.

I usually use Contact Form 7 to do my contact forms but I am wondering if anyone has an idea if there is a way to dynamically generate the contact form so that I don’t have the create one for each link.

I could use drop down boxes but I am wondering if there is a more elegant way that anyone knows about – basically so that when the reader clicks on a name a contact form comes up with a prepopulated contact form (without me building each form separately)

Mmmmm that’s quite the task. Unfortunately, I don’t have a concrete answer for you, but I would recommend that you email the guys at gravity forms – http://www.gravityforms.com/
and see if their tool could help.

Gravity forms is by far the best WordPress forms plugin. It’s not free, but it’s amazingly powerful and the developers are very knowledgeable. They might have had a similar request and thus may be able to have a solution for you.
