You’ll need to call in your new widget by adding some new code to a copy of page.php in your child theme.
See How to display new Widget Areas for an example:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Widgetizing_Themes#How_to_display_new_Widget_Areas
You’ll likely also need to make some corresponding CSS tweaks in your child theme as well.
Oh, thanks Kathryn, I was missing the single.php file in the template files trying adding the sidebar for single post in page.php.
Anyway, I’m able to display the sidebar but I would like to know if someone has implemented a right sidebar on Dyad theme before to know how is best describe markup of it.
Cheers!!
I have added right sidebar working on single.php changing some css, thanks to http://www.findurlaptop.com/tech/2015/01/08/right-sidebar-in-twenty-fifteen/
I had to enqueue the layout styles in a separate stylesheet to accomplish that.
I’m on a demo link now when it will be ready to go live I will post here the link.
@lizardhr: I’m glad you were able to figure out how to create a right sidebar and thank you so much for posting the information here so that it may help others in future.
