Hi there, thanks for the ideas.

By the “Pretty rewrite register page” I take it you mean for /wp-login.php?action=register ?
If so, I will implement it in the next update.

I am a bit confused by the “Override wp_get_login() to return pretty form”. Could you please explain a little more?

    Thanks,
    Daniel

Yes, it would be great if /wp-login.php?action=register (ugly) could just be /register (pretty). Also, a function called get_register_url() to return /register would be keen (the WordPress API does not have such a function).

The WordPress API includes a function called wp_get_login(), which returns the proper login URL (but in ugly form). When your plugin is active, it would be better for this function to return /login (pretty).

That way, other plugins that call wp_get_login() automatically return your pretty /login URL. Also, I don’t want to hard-code /login (if I turn off your plugin, those links would break), so I always use wp_get_login() in my code.

    Thanks for considering these updates!

    Okay, thanks.
I will add the pretty URL into the next update and work on the “get_register_url()” function/

I will take a look into adding a function to allow wp_get_login() to show the pretty url but this will take a while to implement as I am going on holiday and have a few other projects on the go.

    Thanks for the ideas!
    Daniel.

Okay. V1.2 has just been released with register and as i thought, whilst i am at it, i would add, forgot password aswell.
Tell me what you think. I will get back to you on the other requests.

    UPDATE:
Updates 1.2 didnt work as expected so reverted back to V1.1 as V1.3 so the update will push out. I will get back to you once I have taken a look at the code.

Thanks for working on these enhancements. I look forward to them working in a future version.

i have just pushed out version 1.4 which has working /register.

    UPDATE:
It worked locally but it doesnt on live sites.
There seems to be a problem with the url “wp-login.php?action=register” (i am assuming either the “?” or the “=”).

Hi, Currently, this plugin in it’s current state is not capable of handling the “?” in the URL, so I will be reverting this plugin to its original state and I might work on a new plugin implementing Login, register, admin and password reset.

I will keep you updates but marking the plugin as resolved.

    Hi Nyhm,
If your still interested, I have implemented the Registration page URL to example.com/register.

I am still working on other things at the moment.
    Thanks,
    Daniel.

I appreciate you taking the time to follow up on this.

I think your plugin provides much cleaner URLs than the defaults offered by WP.

(Although I’ve turned off your plugin for the moment, while diagnosing some unrelated redirect behavior, I hope to turn it back on soon.)
