during theme editing random text at the end of the file

  • I find often some text when editing a theme. Normally this text is at the end of the page, and is taken from inside the page. For example, after editing an header.php file, I found this “link_after=” at the very end of the file.
I really dont know why all of this came from, but is a bit annoying.

I dont know if that is useful, but I use Opera

Have you tried using another theme? How are you editing these theme files?

this has happened to me in various sites with various themes.
I use the plugin advanced code editor for editing, but the developer swears it doesnt add anything at all to files.

Aha! Try a little experiment. Turn this plugin off and try using the core Editor.
