duplicator starts site scan and dies

hey – im trying to duplicate a blog site
its content is aproximatly 1.6 gb
whan i start the duplicating proccess i get all green “pass”
then i start the scanning and after a few seconds
the “scanning site” window diapears and nothing happens

i used the plugin successfuly on other site

tried to disable some plugins (not all)

any help?
