Hello – I am new to this plugin. I wanted to create a “backup” of a page because I was making a lot of content and image updates. So I clicked on “Clone.” Then it created a cloned page with the word – DRAFT next to it.

However, when I started making updates to the original page, those updates somehow were also made on the “Cloned Draft” page (without me ever touching the cloned page).

Just wondering if anyone has experience this happening.

    Thank you!

    Hi @dcwebcat67,
are you using any visual composer/page builder to edit your page?

    Hi Lopo –

My client is using Fusion Builder.

    Thank you

    Hi @dcwebcat67,
unfortunately I don’t use Avada and their Fusion Builder plugin so I can’t do tests and try to reproduce the bug.
Looking at their knowledge base it seems that the components in the builder may be saved to be reused across different pages: I suppose they would probably be stored on they own and be referenced both by the original page and the copy, so editing one of these components in one page would show the change in the other too.
My suggestion is to open a ticket with Avada support, since they know how their builder works in detail. Obviosly I’m always available if they need any info about my plugin.
    Hope this helps!

Okay – well thank you for trying. I appreciate it. I just downloaded your plugin to use on my own site just to experiment and it works perfectly fine. So yeah, it must be a bug with Fusion Builder. I will try and open a ticket with them.

    Thanks again!!

    @dcwebcat67, sorry I can’t help you more!
Let me know if you sort this out!

    Hi @lopo,
I’m experiencing problem very similar to the one @dcwebcat67 is experiencing, just in reverse.

I’m using Divi Builder. In my case, any changes made to a published “Cloned” page are applied to the original page. Any changes made directly to the original page disappear as soon as I save, replaced instead by the content that is on the cloned page.

I find that changing the permalink on the original page seems to sever the relationship between the two pages (unfortunately this isn’t a good option, because I need to retain the permalink on the original page). But as soon as I apply the original permalink again, the relationship between the two pages is restored, and once again all changes made to the cloned page get automatically applied to the original page.

Any thoughts? @dcwebcat67, did you ever find a solution?
    Thank you!
