Support » Theme: OceanWP » Duplicated version show up in all original one pages

  • Hi,

I have Oceanwp theme with Ocean Extra and Ocean Modal Window plugins.
I use a plugin to duplicate modals, the problem is when I duplicate a modal it show up in all pages that the original one show up at, I tried to deselect all options “of what to duplicate” but even if I didn’t copy any of the options, it’s the same result, how do you identify which page the modal should show up at ?? what could it be possibly the reason ??

It’s very disappointing to not get any interaction from you (here or at the plugin support page), say something…

  • Hello,

I didn’t understand it clearly. Can you please try to use a different plugin for duplicating the moodal window? Can you link to the page where you have this issue?

For the previous topic issue, I have passed your query to the dev team. Hope you will get a reply soon.

Thanks for replying, I tried this plugin Duplicate post and this one too duplicate-page, same result, I didn’t notice the problem at first but since I added a large content to custom modals, the difference in the code source was clear, modals which I didn’t add their links to the page are included too.

“Can you link to the page where you have this issue ?” I am still working on this locally.

*Edit: the problem is on all pages even on pages without modals, at first I suspected the duplication but now I am not sure of the source of this problem

How do you identify which page the modal should show up at ? I think the answer to this question will help resolve this problem.

Can you please tell me the exact steps to replicate this issue so that I can check it on my end?

First, I have Oceanwp theme with Ocean Extra and Ocean Modal Window plugins and Duplicate post plugin.

    1. just create a modal or two with custom design change multiple options (width, color…) this modal have style/design number 1.
    2. add content…
    3. save and add their links to a page
    4. try adding another modal with the same design (using duplicate plugin)

***now imagine that you need multiple modals with custom style 1 and multiple modals with another style 2, I can’t keep checking the same options (width, color…) whenever I create a new modal, and since I have multiple styles/designs, changing the default values of the plugin in customizer isn’t the answer, so I needed the duplicate plugin or at least I need to have template number 1 for style 1 and template number 2 for style 2 and when I create a modal I can choose which template/design he should take…

***the modal should show up only on pages where I called it ID/link

I hope you understand my need and thanks.

    Hi,

Sorry for the trouble. I passed your issue directly to Nicolas (theme author). Hope you will get a reply from him soon.
