# Duplicated images

 * What should I do if I have in uploads folder 6 images and I had uploaded just
   1 ?In settings–>Media all there are set on 0 but this didn’t change.

 * WordPress automatically creates 3 smaller images (as defined in Settings -> Media)
   if you upload a large enough image. Any additional copies may have been generated
   by your current theme.

 * But there are 6 pictures..the theme needs about 2 pictures if I think..and the
   rest one ?

 * Are you sure? Have you checked through the theme’s functions.php file for additional
   sizes being created via [add_image_size](http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_image_size)?
   What about your plugins? They can create extra image sizes too.
