• I wonder if anyone can help with this.

I have a blog located at a current subdomain (subdomain.domain.com) and would like to duplicate the entire blog to a new subdomain (newsubdomain.domain.com) on the same server.

I want to be able to duplicate the database as well so I can edit the new site without it affecting the old site which I still want to keep running.

Is there a clean way of achieving this? Most how-tos say about copying a WP install but not duplicating it so you still can use the old blog.

    Any thoughts?!

Even though you are copying it you’ll go through the same steps as moving it to a new subdomain: see here

Thanks. Will that mean that I can still post on the old blog and it will stay on oldsubdomain.domain.com? And then when I post something on newsubdomain.domain.com it will stay on that new blog?

Yep they will be two separate sites. Make sure you follow all the steps though–if you don’t it will cause problems.
