# Duplicate Taxonomy

 * I need to duplicate a custom taxonomy and its contents that Ive created to use
   under other custom post types.
    Is this possible or do I need to recreate it 
   from scratch?

 * Are you talking just the settings within CPTUI for this new one? or do you mean
   also copying over all of the terms values as well?
 * If you just need the settings, then it wouldn’t take all that long as we have
   label autofill these days as well as not a huge amount of arguments for taxonomies.
   That said though, if you rename a saved taxonomy in CPTUI settings, and don’t
   check the checkbox to migrate the terms, it’ll actually duplicate/save all the
   settings into a newly registered taxonomy. Only downside with this one is not
   having the terms too.
