Duplicate site for multisite language | WordPress.org

Hi,
I have a homepage which should be in German and English, and I want to switch the language of the hole page by pressing the english or german flag in my homepage.

So I downloaded the multisite language switcher plugin and created and went through this tutorial which is in german: http://uepsilon.com/blog/2011/09/25/multisite-language-switcher/

So I added a new site in english beside my german site.
But this new site is now naked. What I want is to duplicate my german site, so that I can change the texts to english and then I could easy switch between this two sites.

Is that possible to duplicate or copy the site?

Hi,

there are 2 options:

– you can use the WordPress export/import or
– you can try a plugin like this one: https://wordpress.org/plugins/blog-copier/

Ok thanks for reply.

Where can I find the export/import option?

The Blog copier works only on subblogs and not on the main blog, so thats not really working for me.

You can find it in your dashboard. In the menu on the left you’ll find “Tools > Import” ans “Tools > Export”. “Tools > Import” will ask you to install a plugin if it is not already installed: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-importer/installation/
