We have encountered the same problem with the Photolab theme.
The archive.php page has a while loop which loops based on the number of posts set to display on each page. Inside the while loop the “loop” function gets called which displays the posts in the format specified in the configuration. These nested loops results in posts being displayed multiple times on each page. I modified the archive.php page to remove the while loop and the page works correctly now.
I am making an assumption that if you make any updates to the theme without correcting this error we will lose our manual updates to the theme when we download the updates. Is that correct?
