I’m using this plugin on a site (currently in dev) that has a hierarchical custom taxonomy (product-category) applied to a custom post type (products). The page URLs themselves, for the most part, are working extremely well. There are two outlying issues, both seeming to do with our hierarchical taxonomy and duplicate portions of the permalink structure:

    1. There are a couple of archive URLs that force redirect to a path that duplicates. Example: http://ecpwr.sinsightsdev.com/products/cooling/inrow-cooling/ redirects to http://ecpwr.sinsightsdev.com/products/cooling/cooling/inrow-cooling/

    2. The breadcrumbs have a similar thing happening when the page viewed is either an archive of a child term, or a single product page that has a child term applied to it.

If you look at this URL (http://ecpwr.sinsightsdev.com/products/power/double-conversion-ups/three-phase/eaton-9395/) and take a look at the breadcrumb closest to the page name (Three Phase), you’ll see that the full URL repeats a part of the path: /products/power/double-conversion-ups/power/double-conversion-ups/three-phase/. The same thing happens when you look at the next breadcrumb in the chain – /products/power/power/double-conversion-ups/

Both versions of each URL (with and without the repeating segment) get the user where they’re going, but for consistency and cleanliness is it possible to remove the duplicating segments?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
