Hello. I’ve had the following problem since I’ve started using the Stargazer theme months ago. When I add a picture to my post using the ‘add media’ button, a large duplicate version of the picture displays above the heading. If I delete that picture from the media library, but had more than one picture added to the post, the next one will display above the header and so on. The workaround is that once I have added all of my pictures to the post, before I hit publish, I need to go out to the media library, delete all of the pictures that I’m using and then upload them again, but only through the media library, not the post screen.
What apparently is happening is that when any picture is added using the ‘add media’ button on the ‘edit post’ page, it is automatically setting that picture as a featured image (although I am not setting a featured image nor using that function). The only way to get rid of the duplicate image is to delete it altogether and then re-add it.
All themes and the WordPress version are up–to-date. I have disabled every plug-in and worked from a clean theme install, but that doesn’t seem to be the problem.
So I’m either missing a simple checkbox somewhere or it’s a coding issue. Any suggestions? Thank you.
