Hi UTuemand,
Thanks for the compliments 🙂
Google will output data as last seen, so fixing it will resolve the issue with how it’s shown on Google. Through Google Webmasters you can force a re-crawl/re-index of the website. This will generally be done within 24 hours, depending on the size of your website.
Could you please tell me the theme you’re using and/or the website address?
Could you also confirm that this issue is present in the og:title
meta tag?
If this is not the case, your theme’s title output should be updated, as it’s using the wrong way of doing so. See this codex page for more information.
Thanks and have a great day!
Hi UTuemand,
With a good Google search based on your examples I found the page you’re talking about.
I think the SEO Data transfer has gone wrong! 🙁
Could you please see if you can remove the duplication from the Custom SEO Title within the Product SEO Settings beneath the content?
This should help you resolve the issue, let me know if it all works out!
Hi Sybre,
I tries your suggestion without any luck, and I think it is getting worse. An ex.
Front-page should say
HALL AUDIO | Vi gør dine højtalere trådløse
Instead it says
HALL AUDIO | Det trådløse hjem <- this is several weeks since I removed this content, that was in the title for a few minutea
Hi UTuemand,
Please make sure you’re running the latest version of The SEO Framework (2.5.2).
The home page title can be adjusted through the SEO Setting Page within the Home Page Settings metabox. You can change or remove the tagline and the title there.
If that does not reflect what you’ve output, please let me know if you can see the following option at the bottom of Title Settings in the SEO Settings Page:
Remove blogname from title?
If you can see that option, do not activate it, but it means that the theme you’re using is doing it right and all settings should work as expected :).
If you can not see that option, could you please check if you have the latest version of your Premium (Enfold) theme?
Please make sure the Custom Page Title is correct in the pages you’ve set up, they should not display the blogname double. If they do, kindly remove the blogname from the title and see if that has solved the problem.
If this does not resolve the issue, please ask the theme author for the title-tag integration, give him this link:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Title_Tag
In the near future I will release an extension plugin that will fix this issue for you, as shown here:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/about-my-title-is-not-what-i-want-it-to-be-help?replies=1
I hope this helps! If you require any more assistance please let me know!
Enjoy your weekend 🙂
Hi UTuemand,
Here’s the title fix extension: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-seo-framework-title-fix/
The next version (2.6.0) will contain a warning message in The SEO Bar for when a duplicated title has been detected.
Stay tuned and have a wonderful day! 🙂
