• Hello! I need to export all db and file information from one multisite install on one server over to a completely seperate server for testing. I basically just want an exact copy. I tried copying the files over first, then I dumped the export db into a new database I had created for the test server. Themes and plugins load up fine, but no sites info. I just have my network admin and my main site admin, I’m missing about 46 sites.

Can anyone give me a clue on the best practice for just mirroring a multisite install?

How did you export the DB?

via mysqldump. I did notice on the export that some of the tables were numerically named differently.

I guess I should mention that this DB borders on 1GB, I didn’t even want to try something like phpmyadmin. I just did it through command line.

Well they should be named wp_2 and wp_3 and so on 😉

Are they there in the DB?

I’m going to try again without importing into a clean wp multisite install. The tables seem to be offset, i.e. wp_115, wp_116, etc. This does not match the source db. I’m not sure where it started as I’m coming into this project left by someone else.
