Hi,
it’s not been removed, you can still find it under Settings→Duplicate Post, tab “What to copy”: there’s a checkbox “Children” under “Post/page elements to copy”. Make sure it’s checked and child pages will be cloned when you clone their parent.
Feel free to write if the behaviour it’s not the intended one!
Thanks Lopo
It was due to a strange translation – I didn’t see it.
Unfortunately it gives me an internal server error. Thats another problem.
Hi, do you have the checkbox for “Attachments” enabled, just above the “Children” one?
If yes, I’d recommend to disable it since you probably don’t want to clone attachments unless you have special needs. Disabling it should lower the time needed to clone the pages preventing the timeout of the server.
If it’s already disabled, or if disabling it doesn’t help, feel free to write again so we can investigate the issue.
Hi, I disabled attachments this time, but I still get an internal server error. It does copy some of the pages but not all. We did exactly the same copying a year ago with no error.
Hi,
is it possible that the child pages are changed, increasing in number and size?
Are you able to look inside the server’s error log?
Hi,
The server log says this:
[Fri Jan 13 08:46:39 2017] [warn] [client 152.115.47.189] mod_fcgid:
read data timeout in 40 seconds, referer:

[Fri Jan 13 08:46:39 2017] [error] [client 152.115.47.189] Premature end of script headers: admin.php, referer:
http://svend-es.dk/wp-admin/post.php?post=14768&action=edit
Timeout is 60 seconds, but it dies after 40 seconds.
Now it works – strange.
Thank you for fast responses.
