Thanks @let-me-see
As I understand, the workaround is to use a 3rd party external cron service instead of WP-Cron? Where is the main problem – this plugin or WordPress?
Hi web2033,
when you are using WP cron and for e.g. you backup time is 3am and nobody visit your website at this time no backup will be created because WP cron runs only when someone visit the website. If the backup fails and you will get the next visitor the cron run again. So we recommend to use the server cron or an external cron service.

Hi @aweissinpsyde.
Yeah, I know a theory behind WP-cron.
It’s just strange that it’d been working fine for years on the same hosting and suddenly we see this behavior. And I’m not the only one who reported this issue.
@web2033 can you please post your log file log file?

I don’t fully understand, is it a bug or a feature?)
@web2033
This problem is related to WordPress Cron system. so for now, after the upgrade, if this problem is gone then you should not worry about that.
But if it stills happens, you could try use another reliable CRON service( personally, I use cron-job.org )
@web2033
since we haven’t heard back from you, I’m going to mark it as resolved.
