  • Improvement: Replaced the terms whitelist and blacklist with allowlist and blocklist.

Did you really need to change the whitelist and blacklist wording for the muggles. They need to learn real terms? No. We need to stop this in the tech world. People need to learn real tech, not marketing-speak for dummies.

This is *not* an improvement. It’s a tweak. And ridiculous waste of time.

  • This politically correct soft language is a bit much, but WTF are “muggles”?! I had to find out!

Unknown to me, Muggles haven’t been treated so kindly, I don’t really know the back story, but if you are curious, the Institute of Muggle Studies is a wizarding institute that studies and researches about Muggles.

In the British wizarding world, the term “Muggle” is widely used to refer to a non-magic person. Some may consider it derogatory, but it is in fact often used affectionately.

Now you know…Please continue on and leave some helpful reviews!

Thanks for your thoughts about Wordfence.

This change was made, not for any political reasons, but rather for clarity’s sake. The industry is moving towards changing the terminology that is used for blocking and allowing and to avoid confusion going forward we are making the change as well.

As for your comment that it was a ‘ridiculous waste of time’, I probably spent more time reading your review than it took to make a 2 word change. If you disagree with the way we allocate resources for the plugin development and maintenance, we wish you well in whatever security solution you choose in the future.

*Reads. Really? I mean, really? Why can’t more people just be like Dolly Parton and get along?*

    Thanks for your review.

Aside from the change in verbiage, aside from the adjustment of any cultural and problematic language that apparently doesn’t effect you personally-

What do you think of this plugin in it’s current state?
