   to 2FA Issue
 * Dear Kiwanis International Support Team,
 * My name is **Saul Goldberg**, and I am contacting you on behalf of the **Kiwanis
   Club of Wilton, Connecticut**. I manage our official WordPress website under 
   the Kiwanis International platform.
 * I was recently logged out due to a **two-factor authentication (2FA)** issue.
   I’ve been maintaining this site for over a year without any problems, but this
   is the first time I’ve been unable to log in. I’m the **admin** for our site 
   and have both the printed 2FA recovery codes and the authentication prompts, 
   yet there’s currently **no option to enter them** when I attempt to log back 
   in.
 * This situation is **very time-sensitive**, as I have multiple members waiting
   on me to post updates about our upcoming **meal-packing volunteer event**. I 
   kindly ask that this issue be resolved **immediately** so I can regain access
   to our website and continue our community outreach.

 * Hey Saul,
 * Thank you for reaching out! First, I want to focus on getting you access, since
   this is time-sensitive. To regain access:
    - Please use FTP/SFTP — or any file manager your web host provides via their
      administration panel.
    - Look inside the **/wp-content/plugins/** directory and rename the **wordfence**
      directory to **wordfence.bak**. This will deactivate Wordfence and allow you
      to login without the 2FA code.
    - Once you have logged in to your WordPress admin you can name the folder back
      to **wordfence** again.
 * If you’re unsure of any of those steps, your hosting support should be able to

 * It sounds like you may have a plugin that’s incompatible with Wordfence’s 2FA.
   Once you’re logged in, please send a diagnostic report to **wftest @ wordfence.
   com**. You can find the link to do so at the top of the **Wordfence > Tools >
   Diagnostics** page. Then click on “**Send Report by Email**”. Please add your
   forum username where indicated and _respond here after you have sent it._

 * Forget it I will inform my club we must hire a prof. to work this out for us.
   This is way above my non-pay grade. I love how I can’t get in direct contact 
   to a the company that did this, wow!

 * I completely understand your frustration, and I sincerely apologize for the difficulty
   you’re experiencing. I know this is urgent, and I want to help you resolve this
   as quickly as possible.
 * I realize the FTP steps might seem technical, but I’d like to offer some simpler
   alternatives:
 * Contact your hosting provider. Your hosting company (whoever you pay for website
   hosting) can rename the Wordfence folder for you in just a few minutes. They 
   have tools to do this easily. Just tell them: “I need to rename the **wordfence**
   folder in **wp-content/plugins/** to **wordfence.bak** so I can log in.”
 * Many hosts provide a File Manager in cPanel that’s easier than FTP. I can walk
   you through those steps if you have access.

 * Regarding your comment about contacting Wordfence directly: This is the WordPress.
