• Hello and thank you for this nice plug-in

I can’t figure out if I could use this plugin effectively in the following set-up. Is it possible or do I have to hand make the xml site map myself?

I am running a website in two languages, each language is situated in its own subdirectory, like so:
    http://www.example.com/en
    http://www.example.com/de

Each language/subdirectory is its own stand alone wordpress installation.

When somebody goes to http://www.example.com they hit the only file there: index.php This file contains a script that checks what language the current browser is set to and redirects to example.com/de for German browsers and to example.com/en for all other browsers.

I have installed the google xml sitemaps plug-in, one in each wordpress installation, and fiddled a little with the “override the base URL of the sitemap” setting. However, the problem is that I have two installations and I suppose I cannot simultaneously override from both /en and /de ?

On the other hand it seems a bad choice only to have the sitemaps of the subdirectories and nothing for the base url.

    Do you have any suggestions?

I am Greatful for any thoughts on this scenario.
