I have followed the tutorials from the Codex on migrating Drupal 6 over to the latest version of WordPress. However, every single one of these tutorials has missing the migration from Drupal 6 users table to wp_users. (both are MD5 on passwords)

Anyone by chance have on hand the code for migrating the users and their roles over via SQL. I have already successfully converted over everything and frankly I am peeved that the Drupal to WordPress migrate service that has a great tutorial is missing this and it seems to be some big old secret to do.

Any insight or if you have a good working tutorial that does include migrating the user data from Drupal to WordPress…please let me know. Thanks!

Alright. Update. I have all the users in general over. However, I noticed when looking at the posts, that the authors were not connected with the posts that they had written.

The tutorial I settled on that got me ths far was – http://blog.room34.com/archives/4530

This is a problem as the site has over 17,000 posts (the site has been around since 2006 and has many contributors).

Anyone have any insight on this last issue.

I have since resolved this myself and wrote a tutorial on my site updating how to convert Drupal to WordPress using a complete script.
