Support » Plugin: Cimy User Extra Fields » Dropdown selected values not showing in edit-user.php

  • Resolved chriswright1664

That’s for the plugin, great work. I’m using it on my site, with a custom registration and ‘profile edit’ page. This all works fine. Fields are updated and shown correctly.

However when I, as an admin, login to the WP dashboard, there is an issue. Any CIMY field that is a dropdown does not show it’s selected value in ‘edit-user.php’. However the values are shown correctly on the ‘Users Extended’ page.

My main issue with this.. if I go to a user via ‘edit-user.php’ and click save it over writes the dropdown values not displayed with blank values.

    Any ideas?

Custom code doesn’t handle correctly the dropdown.

There is not custom code involved. The dropdown doesn’t show the currently selected value in the wordpress dashboard (edit-user.php).

Can you make me a screenshot of the dropdown settings? Or how can I reproduce?

how should I send you the screenshot? truth be told it won’t tell you much. steps to reproduce is difficult, it is the same for for every user accessed from the dashboard. sorry not very helpful i know.

Copy/paste here the content of the extra field’s label, if it contains confidential data send to my email address, I will delete everything after I fixed the bug, if any.

I cannot reproduce the problem unluckily, using v2.4.0 of the plug-in on WordPress 3.5
But I think the problem is this one: try to remove all new lines and spaces before and after the comma.
If still an issue then need more info.

ok will give it a try. thanks

removig spaces seemed to solve the issue
