Dropdown menu to select category to view?

Hey folks,

I’ve been looking through the codex and have found the post regarding wp_dropdown_categories, which for the most part does what I want, but not exactly.

What I’m trying to do, is have a drop down that will display two options only (the two categories I want in there: News (ID of 3) and Updates (ID of 4)). When I use the code found in the codex, it displays all my categories in the dropdown which I don’t want (See above). Also, it goes to the archive, when really I just want it to display all posts with the category of News or Updates, depending on what is selected.

How would I go about doing this?
