[Resolved] Dropdown menu instead of button

  • Hello,

    Is there a way to make all available shortcodes accessible via a drop-down list in the editor similar to the plugin ‘AddQuicktag’ (see bottom screenshot here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/addquicktag/screenshots/)?

    I think this is slightly more user-friendly/intuitive way to call a shortcode and would save a step the user has to go through in order to input a shortcode. They are required to select from a drop-down menu anyway in the Shortcodes UI so why not bring that to the editor panel or have an option select either ‘buttons’ or ‘drop-down menu’?

    Highlighting only as a potential final tweak to an already brilliant plugin! Thanks for putting in the time to develop.

    Donation coming end of this month…

    Regards,
    Paul

    @bainternet

    The only reason for the current flow is to make it simpler to select shortcodes based on categories and keeping the editor from getting over crowded with buttons.

    And thanks for the kind words.
