 * I am writing one of my first fully functional websites using wordpress. It is
   a real estate site, and I have a page called Service Area. On this page, I would
   like to display a dropdown list where a user can select a State, and based on
   the state selected, I would like to display a text area showing all the counties
   that I serve in that state. I really have no idea where to start. I need a plugin
   that allows you to add a dropdown list, and based on conditional logic of the
   selected item, I need for it to display text for that state. I am using Divi
   as my theme.
 * Any suggestions anyone could give me to point me in the right direction??? Thanks!!!

 * Are you wanting to code this?
 * If so…
    I would suggest a Shortcode.
 * Else
    I would look into Advanced Custom Fields which is pretty user friendly.

 * Thanks for the reply. I will look into shortcodes, but if at all possible I would
   like to do as little coding as possible to avoid the possibility of messing up
   the site due to my inexperience. I am looking for the easiest and quickest solution
   available to get me started.

 * [@bilbosax](https://wordpress.org/support/users/bilbosax/) then I think your
   best bet would be to look into Advanced Custom Fields. It’s very user friendly
   and allows you to do things like create conditionals and such.

 * Hi,
 * I suggest you to use [WPL Real Estate plugin](http://wordpress.org/plugins/real-estate-listing-realtyna-wpl/).
   It has a nice and advanced search widget and you can configure it to work the
   way that you like.

 * I would like to populate the dropdown list from a query.
