Dropdown Language Selector not working

    Hi,

    I’m considering using Polylang on a site I’ve built. I’ve been doing some testing and have noticed the dropdown Language Selector does not work when set to ‘Display as dropdown’. As displaying in a dropdown is a requirement I’m wondering if the purchasing the Polylang Pro plugin will overcome this issue for me?

    There’s no javascript errors on the page and the language selector works if that option is deselected and displayed as a normal

      I don’t want to buy the plugin if this is still going to be an issue with the plugin.

    I spotted what is causing the issue. It is rendering the widget in two positions on the theme, one for mobile, one for desktop.

    To overcome this issue, is it possible to be able to assign an id and name to the select item through the pll_the_languages() function?

    Hello,

    When I add 2 (dropdown) language switcher widgets to a default theme sidebar, both widgets are working as expected and both widgets have a different id and name.

    If you are using directly the function pll_the_languages(), you can try to pass a different id to the dropdown parameter.
