• I would like to get drop downs to work from my “pages”, all the programs I have downloaded “Dropdown Menu widget” and “Superfish dropdown menu” all put the drop downs into my links area. I would like to be able to place a drop down on my pages at the top of my web site and add more data. Is their a program that will accomplish this? the two I have been experimenting with actually have you go to Widgets and add them to the Links area so it is clear that is where they will be displayed.
I want it to work just like on WordPress home page , when I bring the mouse over the “Home” page I get a drop down selection of options.

  • Been there, done that.

The solution is to use a Theme that supports Menus — you will probably want it to support Widgets, too. The default Theme, TwentyEleven, for example.

Then you can control it all from Appearance-Menus on the Admin panel. Assuming, of course, that you are using a recent version of WordPress. Likely, you’ll want to build a Custom Menu which you then have to select.
