[resolved] Dropbox upload not working (5 posts)

    Firstly this plugin rocks when it is working properly.

    We are using BackWPup to back a two instance of WordPress up to Dropbox. Some basic stats:

    Size: 17.7 and 27MB
    WP: v3.5
    BackWPup: 2.1.7
    Dropbox: Authenticated successfully
    Logfiles: look successful for both sites

    I have been running the plugin every week for a while and have assumed that all was working ok as I have been sent the logs and also that on the WP dashboard it reported OK in green for the relevant date.

    However, this morning I thought I would check the folder on Dropbox and was alarmed to see that no files have been uploaded since March and April 2012.

    I can see that the backups are being captured as I can download them from the BackWPup Manage Backups area in WordPress, but they are not being uploaded to Dropbox despite this being reported in each of the log files:

    2013/01/20 03:05.20: Backup zip archive create done
    2013/01/20 03:05.20: Archive size is 27.02 MB
    2013/01/20 03:05.20: 1. Try to sending backup file to DropBox...
    2013/01/20 03:05.21: Authed with DropBox from [Changed]
    2013/01/20 03:05.21: 1.68 TB free on DropBox
    2013/01/20 03:05.21: Upload to DropBox now started...
    2013/01/20 03:05.46: Backup transferred to https://api-content.dropbox.com/1/files/dropbox/Changed_Website/17. Backup/www/www_backwpup_1_2013-01-20_03-01-20.zip
    2013/01/20 03:05.47: One old log deleted
    2013/01/20 03:05.47: Job done in 267 sec.

    The Plugin only says that the upload ist ok if dropbox submits the correct filesize of the uploaded file.

    Pelce check that u in the right dropbox or ty to reautenticate with dropbox.

    Thanks for your quick response.

    I do not follow your first para. Please can you elaborate.

    On re-authenticating with Dropbox I am currently using our admin account does this matter or is it just a matter of:

    (a) having a valid email and password for Dropbox; and
    (b) making sure the account has permissions for the folder(s) where the backups are being transferred to.

    Pelace check that you loggt in in the right dropbox account. The acoount where the file is transmiited to is shown in the log.

    Thanks for your help. The issue is now resolved and related to duplicated folders.
