Dropbox API error only with one of my sites (13 posts)

    Hi Daneil

    Thanks for a fantastic plugin. I have it on 3 sites. One of them gives me an error every week though. It's authenticated to the same Dropbox account as the other sites that have no problems. Here's the email error areas I receive:

    [30-Aug-2013 23:16:14] WARNING: Job restart due to inactivity for more than 5 minutes.
    [30-Aug-2013 23:16:14] 2. Try to send backup file to Dropbox …
    [30-Aug-2013 23:16:14] Authenticated with Dropbox of user My Name (my gmail address)
    [30-Aug-2013 23:16:14] 3.34 GB available on your Dropbox
    [30-Aug-2013 23:16:14] Uploading to Dropbox …
    [30-Aug-2013 23:16:20] WARNING: (503) Service unavailable. Retrying.
    [30-Aug-2013 23:17:27] ERROR: Dropbox API: (52) Empty reply from server
    [30-Aug-2013 23:17:27] 3. Try to send backup file to Dropbox …
    [30-Aug-2013 23:17:27] Authenticated with Dropbox of user My Name (my gmail address)

    [30-Aug-2013 23:17:29] ERROR: Dropbox API: (35) Unknown SSL protocol error in connection to api-content.dropbox.com:443
    [30-Aug-2013 23:17:29] Job has ended with errors in 781 seconds. You must resolve the errors for correct execution.

    Any ideas?

    I have the very same problem. I'm using BackWPup on five sites. One gives me the same error.

    I kept getting the same problem and tried the following and at least the backup worked;

    Check off the 'Restart the job on every main step on a running job' option on the JOBS tab found under the BackWPup settings.

    I don't know why it works or what the underlying problem it but for me this provided a workaround that got the job done.

    It took twice as long as my last backup, but it did work.

    I can;t see what you're talking about. I click on jobs and this is all I see:

    Then I click under the job name on 'edit' then another page comes up only with a blue 'save' button. Any ideas?

    Brazos - I may be able to help you. What happens when you click on the General tab (or any of the tabs) just above the Save changes button?

    hello need some help i have been getting these error for a wile and
    i don't know what they mean or how to fix them

    Same problem here it says it is authenticated but cannot authenticate it again give error 35

    Dropbox API: (35) Unsupported SSL protocol version

    Tryed to re-authenticate to dropbox but it wil not let me do so wroong ssl protocol error 35 it says
