• Hi Everyone!
First post. I tried searching around for an answer to this, but didn’t find it yet. I recently converted a static html site to a wordpress site. Since then, my adsense impressions, and analytics traffic has been half or less than it was before. Doesn’t make sense to me.

    Here’s what I made sure I did.

    Analytics
I’m tracking these changes with analytics. My old site had it running, so I set it up on the wordpress site with the analyticator plugin.

    .html pages
My old site had .html pages, so I used the “.html on pages” plugin to make it so that I could make it so that wordpress would serve up the exact same page (content-wise) when the old URL was clicked on. So if the old page was index.html, the new wordpress site would still serve up the same page for index.html.

    Adsense
Using “adsense now!” plugin. Pasted in the code I got from my adsense account. Ads show up on my pages as normal when I visit my new site. Some impressions are being registered.

    Caching
Using wp-cache to try to speed it up a bit to be sure it’s not a performance problem.

    Old files are gone
I deleted the old files, so they can’t be contaminating anything.

    Same same
I checked that the content on all of the pages are the same from the old to the new.

    Search Engines
I took care to make sure wordpress wasn’t blocking search engines.

    Rank
My rank in Google actually went UP 2 pages since the changeover.

    What am I missing??

    -S

I forgot to add, I’m on hostgator, and my hostgator “visits” stats have been consistent since the conversion. It’s just my adsense stats and income, and analytics stats that don’t show the same results as before.
