I can’t figure this one out. It’s not spam, my website traffic has remained stable, so I think it has to do something with the way my traffic is measured.

I have seen an overnight rise in % new sessions from 60 to 85%, since mid-September, with a corresponding rise in bounce rate and a drop in pages/session. Could it have anything to do with updating CAOS?

Googled my ass off, couldn’t find an answer.

This is definitely spam. I had the same thing a few months ago. What you need to do is configure Analytics to filter spam. I used this tutorial, which brought my analytics data back to a healthy level: https://moz.com/blog/how-to-filter-junk-traffic-google-analytics

Thanks Daan. I could not find anything suspicious and had to decide to learn to live with it in the end.

Most confusingly, the number of users and sessions did not rise or drop, only the quality of their visit has dropped.
