Drop Down sidebar menu

    I would like to create a Dropdown ( as in when i click 1st level, the 2nd level drops down) in the sidebar of my site.
    This would show my Product categories.

    I have created a menu and 1st, and 2nd level menus.

    I used the Custom menu widget and chose the Sidebar menu I created.

    It does NOT drop down. All it shows is

    Hats
    > 2nd Hat
    > 3rd Hat
    Pants
    > 1st Pants
    > 2nd Pants
    > 3rd Pants
    Shirt
    >tshirt
    >top shirt

    etc etc

    Is it actually possible to have the menu drop down so all the shows is
    Hats
    Pants
    Shirt

    and when one is clicked the next level shows??
