[Resolved] Drop down menus, multiple levels?

  • I’m creating drop down menus using the menu functions in wordpress and I can’t get past a certain level, not sure if this is a wordpress limitation or if it’s the theme (free version of platform) I’m using.

    For example, one of my menu buttons was set up like this with a sub-menu:

    Resources (top menu button)

    The “2011”, “2010”, and “2009” should have been sub-menus of the sub-menu “VBS” but when I check the page, 2011, 2010 and 2009 don’t even show up, the sub-menu “VBS” has no arrows or anything indicating there should be more sub-menus underneath it.
    Is it wordpress or the theme?

  • I’m having the same problem with the same theme… did you find a solution?
    thank you!

    When you go to Appearance > Menus are you able to add these sub-categories?

    Yes, i already added them, the problem is that they don’t show in the drop down menu. The menu shows only till the 3 sublevel

    Take a look at the section.nav.php and change the depth of the wp_nav_menu function to 4 (or whatever depth you want) instead of 3.

    Look in your platform folder and find the subfolder named includes. Under that is another folder named nav. There you will find section.nav.php.

    Look for this line:

    wp_nav_menu( array(‘menu_class’ => ‘main-nav’.pagelines_nav_classes(), ‘container’ => null, ‘container_class’ => ”, ‘depth’ => 3

    Hope this helps…

    Thank you! thank you! thank you!!!
    It works! 🙂
    It just needed to change section.nav.php.

    You’re welcome 🙂
