Are you sure that your chosen theme supports dropdown menus? Not all themes do, by any means.
First, are you using Fresh Ink Magazine Theme?

If so: are you using a user-defined Menu (i.e. via Dashboard -> Appearance -> Menus), or relying on the fallback menu?
Looking at style.css for this Theme, the dropdown menu code appears to be fine.
I’m relying on the page attributes; Parent page vs child page. It works on twenty ten but not on Fresh ink. I actually built it on Fresh ink and it was working. But then it stopped. could I have done something to the Style.css? I changed the color and position of the blog title and tag. The funny thing is that it works in twenty ten?
What I did to trouble shoot is to switch to twenty ten then delete Fresh Ink 1.03 then I reinstalled it. Same thing. The drop downs from the parent page do not come up?

OK I figured out the user defined menu. Thanks for the lead.
Does anyone know how to add extra text to the header? Not a title …I just want to put my business address and phone at the base of the header picture.
