Sorry, I’m a WP beginner, and this might seem obvious, but I can’t figure it out.

I have a premium WP theme installed, and WooCommerce. In WooCommerce, I’ve created categories and products, but under the ‘shop’ tab in the navigation bar, if I hover over ‘shop’, no drop-down menu appears. Which seems kind of crazy, because just about ever e commerce site in existence has a drop down menu when you hover over the ‘shop’ tab. I know I should probably make a menu, but that is where I got stuck, because there doesn’t seem to exist a step-by-step tutorial for what on earth to do with the menus.

I went to ‘Menus’, created one called ‘shop’, and clicked on my categories and products so they showed up on the right with my menu. However, I don’t know what to do with this (or if I even did it right). As is, it doesn’t show up anywhere. Under ‘Theme Locations’, if I click on any of those, it does not create a drop down menu, but no longer shows my tabs I already have (about me, blog, terms & conditions, etc), and shows the boxes I ticked for my menu side by side, NOT as a drop down.

I’m sure this is simple, but I am completely baffled, and it makes no sense to me what I should do. If there is something I can do from within WP, without having to code into the back end (I am no coder!), I would appreciate help! Thank you!
