drop down for navigation menu

    Hi… i need to have a navigation drop down menu without using child theme.I created child theme but header images are not shown in their.If somebody can help me how to have drop down menu using editor,,,,.
    I created two menu items and selected one of the menu items as default in theme locations primary menu.But when i check in my navigation it does not appear.But yes if i select a blank space in theme locations primary menu those drop down appears along with all pages appearing which i dont want,.,…
