Hi Steve, did you take the time to read the Readme.txt file that comes with the plugin or which is accessible via Plugins > Editor? It has more than enough instruction there for a layperson to configure this plugin. The settings are clearly marked on the plugin itself and under Appearance > Display Featured Image for Genesis. Did you look there to configure it? It’s packed full of instructions and features. Some plugins do require you to configure them the way you want them. They just don’t work as “you” would want them to work out of the box. This is a must have plugin for me personally. So the low rating is really a disappointment.

I’ve edited my original rating Anita. But it doesn’t do what I was led to believe it would.
**Edited based on his edit.** It adds it above it. And yes, if you want it below, she does provide a way to do that. So sorry this didn’t work for you. I add things to functions all the time to get them to work for me. Thanks for bumping that up. She really works hard on all of her plugins, provides great support and is an asset to the Genesis Community. I reserve 1-star ratings for truly awful plugins.

I’ve got to say, this is one of my favorite plugins — I use it on nearly every site I design and I am not advanced when it comes to code. I’m puzzled about your comment about adding code, as you shouldn’t need to do any such thing with this version; there are lots of “click” options.
Also, the developer is great about responding to questions. I’m wondering if you tried the Support thread first?

If you continue to have trouble understanding how to use this plugin, perhaps this one will work for you, by another Genesis dev: https://wordpress.org/plugins/genesis-featured-page-advanced/
A bit different but maybe something you can work with, depending on your specific needs.
BTW, you are using Genesis, yes? 🙂
