Drag images into your blog

  • I just GPLed an applet I recently created for my blog, which might be of interest to some of you wordpress people.
It allows you to drag’n’drop images from other webpages onto the applet, and then optionally crop them with the drag of a mouse, and save them on the server.
It saves me the bother of using photoshop and ftp most of the time.
I don’t use wordpress because I am a nerd that likes to roll his own, so I am not going to spend time making a WP hack for this, but that doesn’t prevent some of you to make a hack for it if you like it.
You can see and get it here:

  • Its cool! I could use in a directory protected by .htaccess so that only I can drap drop and save images. You are right, this reduces the need to photoshop (or gimp, which is what I do).
    Thanks a million!

    You’re cool! 🙂

2fargon, the idea is to have it in a password protected area (e.g. your authoring area).
Michael, if that was aimed at me, thank you 🙂
