• We have several Contact 7 forms all with a drag & drop uploader. Recently we discovered any files that are added to the form do NOT come through to our email as attachments (they are being stored on the server where our WordPress is). These forms USED to work properly, i.e. the files would come through as attachments. We have tried everything to troubleshoot, but we cannot find what’s wrong.

Hi Glen: you asked me to provide screen shots, but I don’t see any place here to upload them…? I have the first one, but I don’t see where to get the second one (contact -> Edit Contact (I don’t have an “Edit Contact” under “Contact”)

    Hi,

is this fixed? I’m, facing the same problem. Files are stored in the temp-directory on the server, but are not attached to mails. I added the correct fields to the attachment-section in the form editor, i have no errors in my logs, so i dün’t know what is causing the problem.

Hello! I have a similar issue with “Drag&Drop uploader” [mfile]. Files are uploaded to temporary folder but not attached to the E-mail. Also files are not deleted from temporary folder, but that’s probably ok as they are never attached anywhere.

Single uploader [file] and also multi uploader [multilinefile] both work great. That means e-mail setting should be good and also be able to send Zip files. I also checked that ZipArchive() extension is enabled on hosting. File Attachment tags should be correct.

It would be great to get this working as I just like the look and feel of that uploader 🙂

    Hey @tjlstw ,

Can you please share a screenshot of your Contact -> Drag & Drop Upload settings?

And also a screenshot of you Form & Mail settings under Contact -> Edit Contact -> Form & Email tab settings.

    Thanks.

    Hi Glen,

Thank you very much for asking those screenshots.. I Noticed that I had “Send Attachment as links?” selected in “Contact -> Drag & Drop Upload settings”. The row upper row was somehow hard to notice.. so I saw it from the screenshot 🙂

BTW what does this option even do? I didn’t get any links either when this was selected.

But I got it working now!

    Thank’s

This option “Send Attachment as links?” will display links in email instead of attaching them, this is helpful if you want to accept large files since most of email platform have size restriction or limitation.

In orger to get or display the link you should add the upload filed name inside the body.

    Thanks.
