Downloading Uploaded documents isn't working

    Dear reader(s),

    In my database i added the upload files table with the Participants Database plugin. The uploading of the files is working excellent (it does the uploading). But as soon as i am searching for the uploaded document, and finding it, i want to click the uploaded link to download it. Though on clicking it redirects me to a page that isn’t there showing: Oops! That page can’t be found.

    When i go to the settings page the directory the uploaded files are stored in is the default: wp-content/uploads/participants-database/

    When i go manually to that specific folder i also find the uploaded documents and when i click on them they are downloaded (so that works).

    So my question is, why cant i just download the files i am searching for, and that i have uploaded before? Why is that page not found. Some additional info: the page it redirects me to (which isnt found) is: http://mysite.nl/wp-content/uploads/participants-database/mydocument.docx

    Is your domain really “mysite.nl”?

    I would guess its probably some kind of server configuration, like an htaccess that prevents direct access to that directory.
