 * Hey guys,
 * I’m pretty sure you’ve all heard about this problem. You go to your blog and 
   instead of seeing your Welcome to WP, or the new installation wizard, your browser
   wants to download a file application/x-httpd-php.
 * Now I know there are a lot of topics regarding this issue on the internet and
   I’ve tried every, single, one of them. I’ve added everything that’s possible 
   to my .htaccess and always upload in ASCII mode and CMOD 777.
 * My hosting provider refuses to even acknowledge the problem as being theirs and
   tell me it’s me screwing up the installation, even though I run about 20 WP blogs.
 * Does anyone have any solid things I could try? I have NO PHP knowledge so if 
   you want me to try something, please explain in non-technical terms.
 * I’m willing to pay the person coming up with the answer.

 * I’m not sure there’s much you can do, The problem is most definitely at the server
   end. You could try uploading the Simplest PHP File In The World and, if that 
   also results in an application/x-httpd-php being sent to the browser, throwing
   it at your hosts.
 * Thre file is simply:
 * `<?php phpinfo(); ?>`
 * Upload as something like test.php and run it from your browser.
