    Hi.

Is there anyway to tell what version made a particular backup by looking at the WPRESS file?

I’m finding older backups I made are getting stuck on restore lately so thinking if I could use the same version I did to backup to restore it might work.

    Thanks

Stuck on restore happens for a number of reasons and different plugin versions are not the cause – we make sure that the plugin is backward and forward compatible so backups always work.
Here is a list of what I recommend you to try with the sites where you get stuck on resolve:
    1. Increase max_execution_time – this is the top reason. Here is an article that describes how to do this http://www.clickonf5.org/11921/solution-for-wordpress-php-error-maximum-execution-time-of-30-seconds-exceeded/

    2. There is a plugin or theme that are not compatible with the new php environment. It happens when the PHP versions are different (export from php 5.6, import on php 7.1) – this needs to be debugged but enabling WP_DEBUG in wp-config.php and looking at your site to find errors.

You can also email our help at support at servmask.com and we will be happy to assist you with this.
