https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/ seems to be working just fine for me on Chrome 57.0.2987.110 and Firefox 52.0.2.
Are you able to install it normally from Plugins > Add New in your site’s Dashboard?

Yeah, that does work. However, I need to update it manually on a site where I cannot add and update plugins from the admin, so this would be a temporary solution. It just looks like there is some wrong redirection on the WordPress site.
I’d agree with you, if I could reproduce the problem.
I’m still not encountering a redirect under Chrome or Firefox, and the site you linked to earlier reports “No redirects found” here’s a screenshot: http://d.pr/i/6JoO/fAOJjdyW
First, please make sure that your browser is up to date by visiting https://whatbrowser.org/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these two things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.
That’s weird. Now I see the same. Luckily I made a screenshot of the page earlier, where it does show the redirect: https://postimg.org/image/mmxdv2dcn/.
All my browsers (Chrome 57.0.2987.110, Firefox 52.0.2, Edge 38.14393.0.0/14.14393, IE 11.953.14393.0) seem to be up to date and for all browsers I cleared the browsers’s cache and cookies and I disabled all add-ons and/or extensions.
In Chrome, I downloaded an extension to show the redirects for a certain page (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/redirect-path/aomidfkchockcldhbkggjokdkkebmdll), which shows me there is a 301 Permanent redirect on the MailChimp plugin page (https://postimg.org/image/3pxubxdk3/ and https://postimg.org/image/6hxa7ghv9/).
And after trying and trying, suddenly it works in Chrome by doing this: https://superuser.com/a/869739, but still does not work in other browsers. Very strange.
And after restart of my laptop still the same problem. I think I’ll have to live with it.

There seems to be something wrong with the wp.org transition to the new plugin’s repository, we’ve opened up a Trac ticket to report the issue.
To add to what Lap said, the direct download link seems to be working just fine so you could use that as well: https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/mailchimp-for-wp.zip
