 * When i put a link it goes on to input the site url befor the link like:
 * [http://www.mywebsite.com/?p=link](http://www.mywebsite.com/?p=link)
 * how do i fix this so it goes straight to the link which of course is an external
   link.

 * External links are not supported for the popup.
 * As a possible workaround you can try using the ‘Page Links to’ plugin [https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-links-to/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-links-to/)
then you can set up a dummy page with a redirect to your external URL.

 * This url does not appear to be working: [http://www.graftonrecords.net/?p=399](http://www.graftonrecords.net/?p=399)
 * Is there a page setup on the site that has the id 399?

 * The 404 page indicates that the page is not being found
 * This link works as the URL of your events page
    [http://www.graftonrecords.net/?p=278](http://www.graftonrecords.net/?p=278)
 * however this link in exactly the same format to the new page does not work
    [http://www.graftonrecords.net/?p=399](http://www.graftonrecords.net/?p=399)
 * I can’t explain why this is not working. Can you set up & publish a new dummy
page, then check that you can get to it by its page-id: [http://www.graftonrecords.net/?p=xxx](http://www.graftonrecords.net/?p=xxx)
then add the redirect and see whether putting URL in the browser address bar (
in the same format) opens the correct redirect page

 * I mentioned trying ‘page links to’ as a possible workaround, however I had not
tried using it in this way.
 * I have just done an experiment on a test site and it looks like this is appropriate
only when the page is accessed via the ‘pretty permalink’ rather than the page
id, so this won’t actually work.
 * There may be an alternative way to achieve this, however I have not needed to
do this so I do not have a working method.
 * Unless you can find an alternative way to redirect a non-permalink WordPress
URL to an external URL, I would have to say that it seems that using an external
target for the popup is not supported.
 * I should be possible to add external linking as a new feature to the audio album
plugin, however I would only be able to spare the time to work on this if I needed
it for one of my own projects or if someone commissioned the work.
