    Hi,

The issue in your page is simple, you are trying to play a video on .wmv format, but as the .wmv format is not supported by the browsers, the player will use its Silverlight version, but in this case Silverlight must be installed in the users computers.

Please, install Silverlight in your computer (https://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/), and tests the webpage again.

Another solution, and the most recommended, is to use a video with a format supported by the browsers. Please, visit the following link that includes a list of videos formats supported by the browsers:

    Best regards.

I uploaded the mp4 to youtube and used the URL to embed the video and this is working fine. Thank you.

    Hi,

All mp4 files don’t use the same video codecs, the browsers support MP4 video files with H.264. The videos are converted to H.264 when are uploaded to Youtube.

    Best regards.

ok well not all of us are video codec experts. Might be good to have some best practice instructions. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out why my wmv file would not play. The plugin stated it supported wmv formats. Thats great but if the browser doesn’t support it then it doesn’t help. Once I uploaded to youtube and used their URL to embed the video it all worked fine.

    Hi,

Yes, I know, and promise to improve the plugin’s documentation in these aspects, and recommend some applications to encode the videos correctly.

Thank you very much for your suggestions.
