How is the status of this feature?
In case you need more input, it would be fantastic to allow a maximum daily/weekly/monthly download quota per member.
This would definitively reduce abuse of the feature since it seems we cannot control who is downloading the content and when.
Hope to see this feature soon.

My new website is literally just days away from launch, then I can start putting together the premium plugin.
The latest free version (3.0) now includes an option to restrict free downloading to specific memberships.
The pro version just released includes full download limiting per day/week/month/year for a user or an IP address.
