    Hi – thank you for creating this. Could you give me the code to make it work in a button please? currently the code looks like this:

    [button link="http://www.bartendersincorporated.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/cocktail_menus_bartendersinc.pdf" target="_self" size="progression-medium" color="progression-grey"]See the menus[/button]

    I want the menu PDF to download straight from the button. Thank you in advance.

    It appears you’re using some kind of [button] shortcode, which is incompatible with the [download] shortcode out of the box.

    However, part of what the [download] shortcode does behind the scenes, is rewrite the URL to the download link if you have Pretty Permalinks enabled (see: Settings > Permalinks).

    So, if you have Pretty Permalinks enabled (which it appears you do),
    try replacing /wp-content/uploads/ in the link with /download/.

    Like this:

    link="http://www.bartendersincorporated.com/download/2013/01/cocktail_menus_bartendersinc.pdf"

    Excellent. That worked, thank you.
