Hi, no matter what file, when I try to add a downloadable file to my product or a variation (tried both), it says file does not exist on sever, but it is there, it appears in my media library! Any help appreciated (and surprised I couldn’t find anything about it!)
    Thank you

  • I just tested this with the latest version of WooCommerce, 3.2.2, and not getting the same results.

Could you perhaps give a bit more details on how your product is set up, specifically the downloads section, what are you entering in the Name and File URL boxes?

I think it has to do with folder permissions but i don’t play with those for security purposes, do you have any suggestion as what they should be. Image upload works fine, just pdf that get that error.
    Thank you

Actually, realized that even though I uploaded it in the media file and copied that url (instead of using direct upload from the variation), it keeps the old url (which is in uploads 2016/11, and not 2017/10, only explained by the fact that the product was created at around that time???), I tried deleting the file, but it won’t erase it, it comes back after saving, very weird. I think this is a case of erasing product and restarting from scratch. YOu can forget it, I give up 😉
